Sara Carlisle is the head trainer at Lythrum Farm. Sara has been riding and competing for over 25 years, and she is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist, all of which were earned on self trained horses. Sara primarily trains with the incomparable Kathy Connelly, and always strives to incorporate her positive approach in her daily riding and teaching. She also regularly rides with Kasey Perry-Glass, and Jane Hannigan and has cliniced with Steffen Peters, Janet Foy, Conrad Schumacher, Jeanne McDonald, and Gary Rockwell.

Sara has extensive experience working with younger horses and rescue horses, and volunteers every week at the MSPCA Nevins farm helping train the horses available for adoption. Her methods for teaching and training are based on the principals of Classical Dressage. Sara promotes harmony between horse and rider, and lightness in riding in her own practice and with her students above all else.
